Leah is an artist and interior designer who spent seven years living and working in London before recently returning to her hometown on the Wirral, a coastal area just outside of Liverpool.
Having studied Architecture at university before moving into interior design, Leah’s practice is rooted in a strong appreciation for space, proportion and the transformative role art can play within an interior.
Inspired by patterns found in nature, folklore and meaningful words, Yew Studio was born from a desire to create artwork that feels both expressive and at home within a beautifully curated interior.
Leah creates large-scale abstract paintings and prints designed to bring scale, softness and a sense of ease to interiors. Each piece is thoughtfully created and named with a feeling, or sentiment in mind, adding another layer of meaning to the work.
Alongside her abstract work, Leah also creates detailed architectural portraits of pubs, landmarks and homes, capturing the character and stories held within the places around us. Her architectural work can be found at leah-art.com.
Bespoke artwork is available on request, with each piece created thoughtfully for the character and life within your space.
